The Han are a civilization of the 0 A.D. game. They debut in the Alpha 26 Zhuangzi of the official game, but before that they were born as the starting civilization of the Rise of the East Mod (then renamed Terra Magna), before being moved in the Delenda Est mod and then in the official game.
History[]
The Han dynasty (296 BC - AD 220) was the second imperial dynasty of China, preceded by the Qin dynasty (221-207 BC) and succeeded by the Three Kingdoms period (AD 220-280). It is considered a golden age in Chinese history, and China made significant progress in arts and sciences during the Han period. The core of the Han empire was around the Wei River, and the Han capital was Chang'an, very close to the Qin capital Xianyang (both are now part of Xi'an, Shaanxi).
Civilization Traits[]
- This civilization can build an Imperial Ministery, a special building that, along with new, unique technologies, allows to recuit Ministers. These unique units improve resource gathering and construction speed to buildings and units around them, allow to gather a trickle in all resources a second, and can garrison a building to decrease all research costs and times. The Han themselves start a Standard game with the addition of a Minister.
- Crossbows were common in the Han dinasty; thus, the game allows the Han to recuit Crossbow Infantry as well.
- The Han Fortress can both recuit heroes and research the Art of War, which decreases the required experience for units to level up, and two technologies that can poison sword blades and arrow tips, increasing their damage.
