Cavalry Swordsmen are melee Cavalry that deal hack damage in combat with significant bonuses against Support Units and Siege. In addition like all cavalry they are quick and agile, while also very useful against enemy Archers receiving a handy bonus and hearty pierce armor. Like all cavalry, they are most useful when being maneuvered behind enemy formations and targeting vulnerable siege, archers and healers. In addition, they make excellent raiding cavalry together with Cavalry Skirmishers, especially with their support unit bonus which includes traders and female citizens can make for rapid and effective harassment. Promoted Cavalry Swordsmen receive upgrades several upgrades to their attack, armor and hitpoints, although will negatively impact their speed making them slower and less effective in hunting.
Cavalry Swordsmen are produced at both the Civilization Center and/or Barracks for civilizations that possess them. While the Persians like all cavalry may also find them in their Stables
